Happy Wheels has arrived just as the terrifying and blasphemous demise of Flash is imminent. That was truly a tense moment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope the anxiety over the loss of Happy Wheels didn’t keep you from a restful night’s sleep. If you weren’t aware that this game was in development, here’s some great news for you: this is the official public release of the game. Please bear with us as we address any remaining bugs in future updates.
While I still favor Flash, I appreciate that this new version performs exceptionally well on mobile devices. Currently, however, there are no on-screen controls for mobile gameplay—these will be added in the next update. We thank you for your patience. If you’re eager to try it out on your phone right away, a Bluetooth keyboard can serve as an excellent alternative.
Although I initially stated that the game would run at 60 frames per second, some of the more challenging levels may experience noticeable slowdown at that frame rate. Fortunately, a setting is available to adjust this. Additionally, I may host a separate version optimized for 60 Hz for users with powerful CPUs.
The rest of the game, Happy Wheels JS, faithfully replicates the original in terms of design and gameplay. The user database, levels, and replays remain unchanged from the original release. The only thing gone is the impending doom of the universe’s end.
